Reason to start The Challenge

I've trained on and off for years now, and used to be able to eat what I want, but now that I'm in my mid 40's it's getting harder and it's starting to show.
I see the Max Challenge as a way to take myself to the next level, no excuses, no shortcuts and to get myself in the same shape I was 20 years ago....or even better!

What did you like most about The Challenge?

The Max Challenge website for sure! It had my workout plans, food, support and especially motivation from the coaches and competitors. So this made it easier to just get stuck in, work out and eat right.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Saying no......to social drinks, birthday cakes other "treats" and more than anything else was the voice in my head saying "don't worry, just one chocolate bar won't matter". Going from what I was used to doing before to making this Challenge my lifestyle choice was what made the difference.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

So many areas of my life! I used to be really fit, but the last couple of years I just started slowly losing my motivation. This challenge was just what I needed and really kicked me back gear.
I'm finding I can fit more into my day now because organising my life around the challenge has led to me fitting more into my day.
I've gone from feeling sluggish to feeling great again with more energy and I know I'm going to keep up with my fitness and lifestyle goals in the future.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Get in there, make the commitment and you won't regret it!!! 12 weeks can make such a big difference in your life, so if you've been procrastinating or just unsure then do yourself a favour and sign up.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I can't believe it's already been 12 weeks. It's been a great experience and I really want to thank The Challenge Team, and especially my wife for supporting me all the way.

    It's the last day of the big challenge and I just wanted to put a last minute photo in of my wife Elly and myself in after last week's Bendigo fun run. A huuuuge thanks to my girl for supporting me in the journey, especially in encouraging me in this last 4 weeks of low carb grumbles. Couldn't have done it with my beautiful support crew!

    Birthday weekend and now at the half way point in the Challenge. Normally I would have celebrated with a few drinks and a huge feed. This weekend, no drinks or cake, just a good leg workout, a bike ride out on the trails and followed up with a decent steak dinner. Feeling good!

    These are a couple of extra week 4 photos. The scales are saying I've only lost 1kg, but looking at the before photo I can tell that is mainly fat, and I've put on some muscle which is great!!! Feeling good about the Challenge and ready to bust out the next 8 weeks!

    Day 3 and I just realised I should have taken a couple of other before photos, so this is a side and back profile. Plenty of work to do over the next 81 days that's for sure!

    Well it's day 3 and I thought I'd show some of my support team for the next 12 weeks. Had my first Caramel Crunch SuperShred bar mid morning today........niiiice.
