Reason to start The Challenge

I have done the challenge a few times previously but I didnโ€™t give it the full dedication. I am committed to being disciplined throughout this challenge to get healthy and in the best shape of my life.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

On a personal level I found that I had more energy throughout the day and an overall feeling of wellbeing. I also really liked the physical results! ๐Ÿ’ช
I enjoyed logging on to the Challenge website each day and looking at recipes, reading the articles and listening to the weekly podcasts. I also looked forward to completing my journal entry each week. This definitely helped to keep focus throughout the Challenge.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Pushing through the first 2-3 weeks of breaking existing bad habits and setting new habits. Before the Challenge I was in a slump and drinking beer or wine each night with dinner and on weekends.
I did not have a single alcoholic drink throughout the entire 12 weeks of the Challenge. A new beginning!

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

The Challenge has had such a positive impact on every aspect of my life. It has improved my relationship with my wife. I found that I had more energy and focus as work. I feel healthy, positive and proud of my effort.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

I would highly recommend the Maxโ€™s Challenge to anyone who is considering it. It has been a life changing experience for me.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

My wife Venessa was absolutely incredible support for me during the Challenge. I canโ€™t thank her enough. Venessa is so proud of my achievement and discipline during the Challenge. We prepared meals together and the good nutritional habits throughout the Challenge has seen her also lose 5.2kg. I am proud to say that doing this challenge has brought us closer together. Venessa is now keen to do the September Maxineโ€™s Challenge. I canโ€™t wait to return the favour and support her.

    Week 12 done. Max’s Challenge achieved! A great last week. Trained hard and continued to follow the nutritional plan 100% with good adjustments over the last few weeks. 3 x morning weight sessions + 1 PT session + 5 HIIT/spin/cardio/stretch sessions. Done some prep through the week for the final photos. I am amazed by the results and feel fantastic. An awesome experience. A big thank you to my wife Venessa for the support over the last 12 weeks.

    Week 11 done. Working hard, feeling great and seeing some amazing results. 6 x morning weight sessions + 1 PT session + 8 HIIT/spin/cardio/stretch sessions. Continuing with daily weigh-ins now and slight portion adjustments. First ever chest and stomach wax. Ouch! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Looking forward to a strong finish in week 12.

    Week 10 done. I’m sticking to the nutritional plan 100%. Following the workout plan. 6 x morning weight sessions + 1 PT session + 6 x HIIT/spin/cardio/stretch sessions. Daily weigh-ins now to maintain a strong focus and discipline over the last 2 weeks. Feeling great and full of energy!

    Week 9 done. Tightened up on the portion sizes slightly and maintained intensity and discipline with the training program. 6 x morning weight sessions + 1 PT session + 7 x HIIT/spin/cardio/stretch sessions. Week 9 has produced the most significant physical change for a single week throughout the challenge! Very pleased with the results now and even more motivated and focussed to finish strong ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘

    Week 8 done. Loving the workout plan! Week 8 check-in done. Feeling and seeing good results. I’ve lost 6.9kg since the start of the challenge and I’ve increased lean muscle. 6 x morning weight sessions + a PT session + 6 x HIIT/spin/cardio sessions in Week8. The nutrition plan is now a habit. I’m ready to reduce portion sizes slightly to get the best out of the last 4 weeks.

    Week 7 done. The Lean Advanced Week 7-12 workout program is fantastic! Seeing and feeling some good results already. 7 x morning weight sessions + 6 x HIIT/spin/core sessions in week 7. 100% discipline to the nutrition plan ๐Ÿ‘ I’m looking forward to Week 8 check-in and staying focussed and going hard for the last 5 weeks.

    Week 6 done. Feeling great and full of motivation. 6 x morning weight sessions + 3 x cardio sessions + a prep session for the week 7-12 training program. Definitely starting to see some results at the half way mark. Really looking forward to the weeks 7-12 training program. On track and disciplined with the nutrition plan.

    Week 5 done. Another solid week with the workout program. 6 x morning weight sessions + 1 x cardio/stretching session. Made nutritional plan adjustments with no carbs (Brown rice, sweet potato etc) after lunch. Overcame the biggest challenge so far with 4 days away in Cairns. Prepped plenty of food and supps. Zero alcohol for 5 weeks. Proud of my effort and I’m establishing new habits! ๐Ÿ‘ Looking forward to a big Week 6 in the gym before switching to weeks 7-12 workout program.

    Week 4 done. A solid week with the workout program. 7 x morning weight sessions + 3 x cardio sessions. Zero alcohol for 4 weeks! ๐Ÿ‘ Following the nutritional and supplement plan. Week 4 check-in done. Lost 4.2kg and pleased with results so far. Very focussed and keen for the next 8 weeks.

    Suicide Prevention 24 hour Treadmill challenge at Anytime Fitness Mackay. 4am - 5am timeslot. Knocked out 12km (7.5 Miles) at Level 8 in 1 hour. Finished off with a 40 minute walk at 6.5km/h.

    Week 1 Done. Good start. 6 x morning weight sessions + 2 x afternoon cardio sessions. Followed the meal plan. No alcohol. Supps include Max’s Betapump Red Alert, Creatine X8, Intraboost, Shred System Protein, Anabolic Night. Commenced using Max’s Glutamine on Saturday 19/5/2018.
