Reason to start The Challenge

Im turning 40 in october. I dont want to be one of those overweight 40 year olds that have simply given up on themselves. Not going to happen..

What did you like most about The Challenge?

There was ao many aspects of this challenge that i enjoyed. The daily motivation the maxs challenge team from social media like instagram and the website helped alot. It brought a group of us together where progression photos would be posted and encouraging words would be said.
To learn just how important diet is. I was excited to see just how quick your body can change from craving sugary foods to not even wanting to look at them by the end of the challenge..

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Personally the hardest thing for me was diet. I love my food. I was born with 2 sweet teeth.. the first couple weeks i still had cravings for soft drinks sweets etc but it really didnt take long for it to go.. i have no craving for sweet food and enjoy the taste of healthier food so much more now.

The last 14 days were the hardest.. with working afternoon shift, 6 days a week in the gym, low on fuel i found myself tired and irritable..especially when the guys bringn in cake!! its tough,really tough being so strict with your macros. Life decisions you make could change your life in ways you couldnt imagine.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

A huge impact.. my main goal was to be fit for 40.. and i did it.. after posting my pics on facebook i had several people messaging me asking how i did it..of course i said join the next maxs challenge!! But helping these people want to be better has encouraged me to continue striving to be my best. Fit for 50 is my next goal.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

If you're keen on doing it start mentally preparing for it now.. think about where you want to be every day..picture how you want to look.. think about it so much that when the day comes youre ready to explode..
The challenge will be tough and the best advice i can give you is its all in your diet.. dont train and eat poorly. I did that for years and every year i would say to myself, if i dont have a six pack this year i give up! Maxs challenge will get you there.. find some great training partners.. stay focused and youll kick booty.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

This was a life changer. If i didnt have the support from friends family and social media i wouldnt be here today.

    Day 2.. and my first hurdle. Just ben informed by my vet that my Lab of 11 years has 4-6 months left.. My mind set has been shot. I just want to stay home. :-( But as i look down i see my belly, i remind myself of the promise i have made. I can do this, I will do this. I will be top 10. On a brighter note, my maxs supps arrived! :-)
