Reason to start The Challenge

In 2015, I completed the P90X Challenge and got great results with it. After taking a break from "challenges," I am ready to take on the next one. I heard great things about Max's Challenge and also have some friends who got dramatic results from it.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

The Max's community - I would always catch myself searching the forums and reading the latest journals. When I felt like I wanted to quit, the journals from others undergoing the challenge were motivating and kept me on track. I also enjoyed how the program was set out for me - I didn't have to think or stress about what workout to do next, or what I was going to have for dinner. The exercises and diet also changed every 4 weeks which was a bonus! Before starting the challenge, I told myself that I would follow it as it has been planned by the Max's team. This included purchasing all of the recommended supplements, which I do not regret. This definitely gave me that extra pump in the gym, better vasculature and muscle growth. Plus they all taste great!

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Week 8 and 9. At this stage of the challenge, you have completed several weeks of healthy eating and consistent exercise however, you realise that you have many weeks to go before you are finished the challenge. This was when I had many cravings for bad food. You just have the beat the cravings or find healthy alternatives that satisfy the need and don't demolish the abs. Once you pass this stage, you're en route to victory.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

Where do I begin? I wake up every day feeling more confident, healthy and happy. I no longer dread going to gym, but rather look forward to it to reach further goals. Upon finishing the program, I realised that Max's Challenge is not just another 90-day challenge. These are 90 days that form new habits and make you realise that you don't need sugar, alcohol and bad food to be social and happy. Throughout the program, I had many cravings but upon finishing it, I have no motivation to go for takeaway anymore. That is the whole point of this!

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

The results I have achieved from this program have far exceeded what I ever expected to get from Max's Challenge. I have gone from 15% to 9.2% body fat in 12 weeks! I am shocked as to how well this worked in not only changing my psychique but also in raising my strength, confidence, knowledge and overall happiness. This is not just a fitness challenge - this is a way to turn your life around.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

This may sound cliche ... but if you want to change your life: This is the program to start with. Sign up - you WILL NOT regret this.

In a few blinks and we are already in Week 11! I am beyond impressed with the changes I am seeing. Starting to get loads of compliments, and feeling good about it all. The past 2 weeks have been tough, as I was quite stressed with Uni assessments. A little over-eating (nothing bad, only higher portion sizes) seemed to be put me back a little as I didn't see many changes in 2 weeks - may have hit a plateau. However, now that has finished and I survived Easter weekend, I am back on track for the home stretch! Bring on week 11!

Very excited to start the next stage and final stretch of this challenge! I am at my fittest I have ever been and still have a few weeks to go! I found Week 8 to be a little difficult, as I began to hit a plateau and lose a little motivation. Seeing the changes that occurred in the Week 8 check-in gave me that last bit of motivation to crank out the next 4 weeks. It's going to be difficult to refine the diet to exactly how it should be, but I'm up for the challenge! Hit a PB for 5km on the weekend at the local ParkRun - 20:07 min! So close to being under 20... maybe in Week 12 :S

Upon starting Week 7 tomorrow, I have found this past week particularly challenging. I have upped my cardio quite a bit during this second stage, and have gotten the biggest cravings for sugar. It's not that I am craving bad sugar (ice cream, choc bars, etc.), but that all I want is to consume massive amounts of fruit - particularly mango's... all the time! Over this past weekend, I have splurged slightly away from the meal plan and consumed "many" more servings of fruit than I have planned. I'm feeling pretty crap about this, but at the same time, I have never had cravings for fruit this intense before. Ready to bring in Week 7 by being more strict! On a happier note, I hit a PB this week at the local park run for 5km! Yahoo!

Onto the next stage of the program with a little help from my friends. Been using the full range of Max's supplements for the past four weeks and I must say they are making the challenge a bit easier. I am constantly feeling full after Shred System and also feel satisfied after taking Anabolic Night before bed.

Feeling good as I enter Week 4! Starting to get a little sick of the same old meal plan every week, so glad that the next stage is starting soon. Mixed things up a bit this week by trying out some of Max's recipes including the turkey burgers and spicy vegetable muffins. Seeing massive changes including more definition around the arms and quads.

Beginning of Week 3! I found Week 2 a bit difficult with all of the social events I attended. This seems to be the hardest part - going to dinner parties and not appearing rude if you take a smaller piece or do not eat something that is offered. Overall, I made it and am ready for the next week. Seeing changes already - feeling tighter, more rested and stronger!

Great end to Week 1! Stuck to meal prep, the meal plan, and all the workouts as outlined. Finished the week off with the CARDIO circuit and a 10km run with the local running club. Feeling great and motivated for Week 2!
