Reason to start The Challenge

About 5 years ago I weighed about 120kg. High blood pressure and borderline diabetic. I dropped my weight to a healthier level but now I want to finish the process and get the physique I have dreamed of!

What did you like most about The Challenge?

The thing I loved most about the "challenge" is just that........it is a challenge. If you take the advice, don't cheat, don't slack, stay focused.....the results are a certainty. As you can see from one of the attached photos, 5 years ago I was a very unhealthy 120kg. I dropped the weight out of necessity however, it was Max's Challenge that finished the job.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

I found the hardest part was trusting the program itself. I had to trust that the best results take time and one must be patient when doing the challenge. However, once I started seeing results after about 3 weeks, it got much easier.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

Even though I have some loose skin around my belly button I, for the first time in my life, can take my shirt off at a pool and not only feel comfortable, feel confident and proud of my new found physique. Guys at the gym look at me differently and ask me how I did it. This program has taught me a lifestyle that is now a permanent fixture in my life. I am now more confident and have a sense of self-belief that I didn't have before.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Believe the photos you see of past challengers. The same transformation is possible for you. You may have doubts that you can do this...just as I did!!!! However if you harden up and stick it out, I can promise you will get results......just as I did!!!!
Whilst the journey is a challenge requiring discipline and tenacity, it is a journey that is thoroughly enjoyable; and becomes more so as time goes by.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

To get the results that Max's Challenge will deliver, you must ride out the 12 week journey....but it is only 12 weeks (which as the program states). 12 weeks will go by whether I did the program or not.
The prize for me is right now......putting photos up on this site that I feel satisfied and proud of!!!!!
If I never hear from the challenge folk any further than this present time, i'd like to say thankyou for giving me the guidance and inspiration to transform myself in a way I never thought possible

Did legs this morning because I'm interstate tomorrow. Upped kettlebells to 20kg (10x30 swings) ......stuffed afterwards. Must be good for me then :-) I have not had alcohol in about 6 weeks and am finding that now I am not missing it at all. In fact I don't even think about it. Instead I am enjoying such a better quality of sleep and waking up after a great night sleep feeling strong and clear.

Starting to notice changes both physically and mentally. I'm also noticing that it is important to time food around my workouts. If i'm really hungry before a workout, i struggle to get to the end especially if i'm doing HIIT. I save a protein bar for before a workout it gives me the energy i need.

No SLD today "Skip Legs Day" Can't do legs tonight so I combined it with Cardio this morning. Feeling shagged but great......and hungry!!!. I'm finding that the Casein Whey is helping me sleep better at night. I suspect it is from not letting my blood sugar drop too low such that I wake up between 1 and 4 am. Leg: as per the program Cardio: 30min stair machine HIIT kettlebell 10 sets x 30 swing reps 16kg
