Build Strength & Size - Intermediate
As a returning challenger, I was extremely happy with my results last time, however, due to some crazy large work projects/challenges, for a few months, I was unable to train, eat well or sleep well and therefore was unable to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Boring.The reason for entering again is that I would like to springboard my physical strength, lifestyle, tastebuds, nutrition etc back into a position I am proud of and will be able to maintain.I know that when I eat healthier, feel stronger, have more energy and focus I achieve more, I'm happier and life is better. That's what I want back.Failure does not exist in this dojo! :)
The thing I loved most about The Challenge was how easy it was to follow the exercise and nutrition plan! I wasted no energy on worrying about the right way to do things, how I should be exercising or what I should be eating. The challenge made it super easy to stay motivated, focused and push hard in the right direction.
The hardest thing about The Challenge at times was finding time to hit the gym and often not getting enough sleep. Occasionally working long hours, I found myself going to the gym at 10:30 pm of a Saturday night just to fit it in. Having said that, it was extremely gratifying having that level of commitment. A real sense of achievement afterwards.
The Challenge has had a huge impact on my life as being stronger and having more energy helps me with my work/passion as a cinematographer. I'm extremely motivated to keep training and eat well. With the help of the challenge, I know I will find it much easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle on my own. The hardest part for me, after slipping into some bad habits previously, was getting to a place of strength. Going to the gym when I felt weak was not fun. Now it's an absolute pleasure! Because I'm a beast!! :)
To anyone thinking of doing The Challenge, I suggest getting your family along for the ride, or at least get them excited about what your goals are. It's a change in lifestyle. Having the support and understanding of those close to you will be a huge encouragement on your journey and there's no need to do it alone. It can get tough at times but that's why it's called a challenge :) If you just stick to the plan, I guarantee you will be blown away with the results! Stop considering it, the time is now! I completed the challenge with my sister, brother in law and my father who unofficially tagged along, giving up alcohol and lost 18 kg over the twelve weeks. Thank you for providing such a fantastic challenge for all shapes and sizes! If I ever need it again, I'll be back in a heart beat!
