Reason to start The Challenge

Motivation to get back in shape. Push my self physically, mentally and prove to my self it can be done!

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I honestly can't narrow it down to 1 thing. Testing my self mentally was 1 of my favourite things along with seeing results so quickly.. nothing drives a person harder then seeing the fruits of there labour and hard work, especially when it goes above the expectations. Also enjoyed the weekly messages from Fred and Harps. I found it to really help keep things in perspective and on track knowing that what I was thinking at each phase was normal. Definitely helped me grow and stay focused during the challenge.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

For me personally it was the social side of things.. felt a bit alienated at times, bbq's, drinks and dinners. Everything revolves around food and drinks. Preparing is key to over come these hurdles. We also had to move house half way through and we found that a challenge and we knew it would be so extra prep was made to make sure we stayed on track. Other then that time and metal factors where the other challenges we faced.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

I know it sounds cliché but it has with out a doubt changed my life.. from the obvious physical side to my mind set about life in general. I am more organized, have more energy, more positive out look on life and I have learnt to tackle change and challenge a lot better. I don't sweat the small stuff and stay more focused on my goals. My personal favourite had to be my self confidence. I have never felt or looked better in my life and I still find my self thinking I have my old beat body.. till I look down and see all my hard work lol

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Don't think about it... just do it! What is there to think about? You have everything at your disposal in this program.. form a master coach, mind coach, ambassadors, max's team and other challengers! All yhe help and support you could ever ask for right at your finger tips.. So do yourself a favour and stop with the bs excuse of not the right time or whatever else... Life wont make time for you, your the one to make the time! How bad do you want it? Because i can tell you now.. follow the program and everything else will fall into place.I guarantee it!

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

Just a massive thank you to the Max's team for putting this program together. This has impacted my life more then you'll know! I'm now going to continue on and maybe even compete on stage.. once I pack on some quality size :) love my new life style and I'm proud to say when people ask me what the secret is... the Max's challenge baby!! Get shredded or die trying!

    Cant belive how good my legs looked on the day of the final pics! What a journey to go though and make it out the other end.. this challenge has changed my mind set on life its self. Like i said before its the best thing i have ever done for myself. Im fitter stronger more determined and metaly ready to take on anything :) thank you max's for putting this together im lost for words and for me like many people just the beginning to a new lifestyle and way of thinking.

    Some lunch... yum beef curry! Used the sweet pot as a sauce with some water and spices clean goodness. Carbs i have bumped up a bit and taking in less water over the day

    Wow almodt over and to be honest i dont want this to be the end..shaved and did the tan last night...feel funny for doing it but it does look good lol second day of the carb load. Excited to see how it all turns out, sipping my water as i need it and sticking to the diet. Ill prob go for a morning walk after breakfast and just take it easy. Might do yoga or some stretching to help the body recover.. 1 more day!!

    Got a few extra zzz and feel much better. I think going back to work had a impact on my performance but all good now going to finish strong and hope that my best was enough :) regardless of the outcome im really happy with the way im looking so cant ask for anything else! Looking forward to seeing everyone's transformations

    Last week of the challange and just the beginning of a new lifestyle. What a journey its been! Cant wait to see the final result and start to mix in more verities of food lol. Feeling low on energy and some how just being able to push through

    Been really up and down these last few weeks and not sure how hard to push it.. some days I just have nothing left to give and day to day stuff is a struggle. Only 2 weeks left! Bring on the end lol

    Not sure if this happens to everyone but taylah and I have down moments and a then almost over night we look leaner and a bit tighter.. I dont know maybe its all in your mood on the day.. this last few weeks I would have to say have been the hardest mentally and physically. But dropping off some cardio for extra recovery has helped me and feel nice and fresh agin to see out the last few week :) ps the oat pancake recipe is awesom and almost feels like a dirty treat lol

    I now know what they mean when they say this last stage can be a mind game.. some days I feel good and look good, other days I feel like im not going anywhere :( dropped off some cardio.. back to doing 5 days not 7 and my energy has come back a bit :) but durning the late arvo im really peckish and drinking tea to tie me over or having 2-3 almods just to have something lol

    Decided to give cardio a miss this morning as my legs are still sore so a bit more recovery for them before I hit them again today. Pre workout meal is sweet pot with curry chicken and a big salad topped with mustard dressing :)

    Wow felt so flat today not sure why hope it wont stick around! Took extra pre workout to make sure I hit the gym hard and I did but it wiped me out :(

    Hve been making the most of my holidays! Cardio every morning and weights in the arvo, starting to feel a bit flat and forgetful now. Just thought id put up a side by side of when I started to now. Come along way and hope its going to get even better at the finish line! All that hard work is paying off all the time I have given to the challenge and all the time I have not been able to catch up with friends for drinks and dinners has been worth it :) some people understand, some people dont and thats fine because this is my path, my choice and now my lifestyle! For a boost I had a guy at the gym ask me what events im competing in lol I said im doing this challenge and he replied with, you should enter in a comp thats coming up in the next few weeks :) have to say it feels funny and a bit unusual now when im working out.. feels like most of the people in the gym are looking at me. Even noticed that some of the guys have being copying my weight sessions lol I now feel like im set aside from the rest in a way.. my condition is great and looking quite vascular :)

    Really starting to lean up :) feel great and the holidays are making a difference as I can do morning cardio every day for 45 min. Have not looked this good in my life and cant wait to see what happens in the next few weeks! Trying new styles that I couldnt pull off before, even a sharp new haircut that my girl gave me last night hahahaha shes a awesome hairdresser :D Here is a secret ive had for years.. I hated the way I looked when I was sitting with my gut popping out and I think people thought I was fitter then I was.. but now im still in a bit of shock to look down and look pretty good no mater what position im in.. sitting, standing and laying.. cant quite get through its me lol this challenge has been the best thing I have ever done for myself by far!!!

    Hi guys just checking in! So tried the mini cycle and on the second day I could tell this was not a good idea for me.. first day was fine but today.. man my body hated me! Hell moody almost felt out of it till I had some carbs. Decided that for where im at in the challange its not a good idea. But in saying that I might do another day on it in a weeks time to shock my system again. Did a 2 hour hike with my girl this morning and was impressed with her determination to get to the top :) she has come along way with me in this challenge and has changed as a person in a good way, very strong now.. cant even kick her off the couch for fun anymore lol. Hit the gym this arvo and smashed it! Looked very vascular under the pump so happy with that :D im in the best shape of my life and have 4 weeks to go, cant wait to see what ill look like in the end. Ill be looking at really making this a life style. I want to compete I want to work in the Industry love it!!!

    Getting lean! For years I hated to sit because of my gut and now no matter how I sit or lay my abs are coming out.. feel so good about myself whitch is a nice change for once :D really want to run with this new life style and maybe even enter a natural body building class later on! Cant thank everyone behind this program at max's for putting this together

    Not even joking the last few days I have been getting leaner and leaner.. what a mind set boost from about a week ago!! Dropped past my goal weight and im in tne best sape of my life! So happy that all that hard work and dedication has payed off. And still have 4 weeks to sharpen up:) also master coach Fred is in da house at australian muscle... defs going in to meet the man him self

    Been super busy staying on track.. been giving it all I got even when we moved house but I still cant shake that fear its not going to be enough! Almost at week 8 and got some great results but short of what I have been expecting... not sure if im being to hard on my self or im just not going to come I as sharp as I have imagined :(

    Mashing out the prep for the week! And my workouts are going well.. really intense! Only down fall is the social side of things, feel a bit anti social as im really focused on the challange.

    Got my self a 6 pack bag 500.... 1 of the best investments I have ever made. Holds everything I need with back ups! 4 shakes 1 water bottle Fruit 5 meals All my sups Vitamins Snacks Some of my personal shit 2 ice packs to keep it all cool for 8 hours

    Moved house this weekend and stayed on track aoart from a treat meal. Did the treat meal cos the day was full on and needed a reward lol. The new place is great.. right on the lake :) cardio will be awesome on the weekends now cant wait.

    Been a bit between blogs but I simply have not had the time. Between sorting meals, planning the week, packing to move, work, workouts and dealing with the agent. I have about half hour to sit and chill before bed. But we are sticking to it 100% and its been tough! On a nother level... the workouts are brutal in a good way. The first workout wioed me out! Took 1.5 hours without cardio :/ so asked around on the forum and dropped the rest time. Now it takes 1 hour weights and 20 min cardio. Diet has dropped carbs in the evening and picked up some fats. Breakfast sucks! Oats every day :( no bread and 50ml of skim milk in the oats. Feeling hungry at night and more during the day as well. Getting tired on some days so the pre workout helps. Pic of dinner tonight and some prep.

    Challange is going good found a house and moving next weekend so now for packing! Keen as to see what the next stage of the challange is. Tays doing really well im so proud of her :) some of our friends that started the challenge have slowly dropped off even after we teied to talk them into staying on board with it. Some struggle with the food and are kind of doing there own thing but hope they get out what they want. I know its hard but ive done something similar called p90x so I know what im up for. Get shredded or die trying!!!

    Woke up and did my morning cardio and the rest of the day was spent house hunting and fitting in my meals. Preparation is key! If I didnt have my food cooked up no way would I have stuck to this diet. The cold is not that bad but still really anoying. Here is a pic of my lunch in between inspections

    JJust to add to the mayhem we got to move house! How thrilling :( we got just under a month to find a new place while doing the challange. Im probably going to go rip my hair out. Enough of that and onto some of tonight's prep. Weather was good so fired up the bbq and got some chicken amd stake going :)

    My worst fear has arived... foolish to think we could dodge it. Tay is getting sick :( have to push through and hope it won't effect oir challenge to much. Also a quick pick of dinner and yesterday's breakfast. 2 whole meal muffins, egg white omelet cut in to 4's, small amout of avo spread on each muffin with Italian hurbs

    Had a great cardio day today and felt really good. This arvo how ever was rally hard. Had a art exhibition with my partner who also is ddoing the challange, and soon affer friends of ours wanted to catch up at our favorite pub/club but we couldnt drink and found ourselves worried about getting our meals in. We filled the gap with a snak of alomds and had lunch pretty late but with in time.. just! Also been a bit snappy and grummpy lately, Hope it passes cos Tay has been the same lol

    Made a really clean spag bol last night.. it was pretty good! Just used onion, celery, tbs of olive oil, lean mince, hurbs and spices to flavour with organic tined tomatoes (low sodium)

    So now we are in week 2 and going well :) have to say the hardest part of the challange for me has to be the social side of it. Packing lunches and taking them with you or not knowing if youll make it home on time to eat. That aside im excited to be part of this challenge and giveing it all I got... I want a top 10 jumper lol. So far followed the program spot on and already seeing some results :) at times it gets tough but put your head down and power through it!
