Improve my health and fitness, build some lean muscle and ultimately change my lifestyle

What did you like most about The Challenge?

Everything. The physical and mental challenges that I went through have changed my outlook on so many aspects of my life

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Definitely the nutrition side.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

It shown me that I have a high level of mental toughness, that I can stay disciplined and have the ability to finish something that has totally changed my life.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

DO IT!!... It won't be easy but it will be immensely rewarding if you stick to the training and nutrition.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I survived the last 3 and 1/2 weeks with a torn stomach wall (left inguinal hernia) that requires surgery. Did it doing squats... Have been wearing a support belt to stop my intestines popping through my stomach.

Had to restrict my training to upper body excercises.

No squats, deads or lower abdominal exercises which was very tough.

The 9 or so weeks before though set me up as I trained my arse off morning and night at the gym and had lost a lot of weight and had developed good lean muscle before injury.

It's called a challenge for a reason right?...

It was just another hurdle that I needed to overcome.

Nothing was going to stop me from achieving my goal of finishing and hopefully making Top 50 or even Top 10.

    Well the time has come to officially say thanks for the ride Max!! Main goal - TO FINISH CHALLLENGE. Second Goal - TO MAKE TOP 50. Everything after that will be a bonus. (Although I'd love to be an Ambassador... 😉😉 Taking final photo in the morning. The fitness world now has a new member... ME!!! Good Luck everyone.

    Another early session today. Smashed out a chest/back/arms superset with 60 seconds rest. 15 each by 5 sets. Upper body was melting!!! Love that burning feeling!!! Took below photo as soon as got home. Pretty happy with where I'm at with 1 week to go

    Can't believe the changes in my body when I look at the before and now pics. I cannot thank Damir And Henry enough for the constant pushing to get to this stage. To all who are left in the challenge. KEEP PUSHING!!! Roughly 16 hours of training left!!! Good luck everyone!!!

    Another 430am rise. Hit the weights and cardio on empty stomach. Feel amazing!!!... can see the finish line now.

    Can't believe it's only 10 days to go!!! This challenge has been the most incredible journey. I hate using that word but it really has been. I've experienced the highest of highs seeing the amazing changes to my body as well as the feeling of exhilaration after pushing through some of the most mind numbing training routines. I have pushed my body to the limit and taken my mind to places I thought I would never go. I have also experienced the lows of not wanting to train or get up early to do so but managed to push through and get it done. I have learnt so much about myself, the fitness industry and living a healthy lifestyle thanks to this challenge. I cannot thank my close friend Damir enough for the inspiration and constant pushing to train harder even on the days/nights I didn't want to be there at the gym and also my PT Henry for smashing me into submission every single session. On Cardio days those grandstand stairs with 20kg kettle bells made me want to throw up more than once but immediately after I felt such a sense of accomplishment. Getting up at 430am every morning and smashing cardio and then working all day and going straight to the gym to work a particular muscle group/groups has got me to this point. I have no absolutely no regrets. I've left nothing in the tank. I have sticked to the nutritional plan to the letter and haven't wavered once and that has been the toughest. There is no hidden secret to changing your body. Pure hard work, clean eating and 100% focus!!!... nothing more, nothing less. Max's Challenge has been the greatest experience and I would recommend it to anyone that wanted to change their life for the better. Bring on the last ten days!!! Peace out!!
