What Supplements are recommended for the Max's Challenge?

Supplements are exactly what the name suggests, they're a supplement to our diet. However, even if you eat a perfect diet, you may be missing out on key nutrition when your body needs it.

We recommend during the Challenge you supplement your Nutrition Plan, it is not compulsory to use supplements during your Challenge but we do recommend to help speed up your results you use a good quality Protein powder to assist your Nutrition and some performance supps to help with your training.

What you take depends on your budget and commitment to a supplement program. The MAX and MAXINE brands can be taken by both Male and Females.

Protein Powder

What is protein?

Protein is a macronutrient made up of different types of amino acids. Our bodies use amino acids in a variety of ways, such as:

  • Building and repairing of our bodily tissues such as bone, muscle, cartilage and skin
  • Create blood, enzymes, hormones and other body chemicals
  • Maintain brain, immune and heart function

Creatine

What is Creatine?

Creatine is a compound made up of the amino acids Arginine and Glycine. Creatine is the most researched supplement on the market and can be found in small amounts in animal products such as Beef, Chicken and Seafoods.

Think of Creatine as the "currency" of our bodies. Each movement requires a certain amount of currency to create energy. When supplementing with creatine, you're giving your body more currency to "buy" energy. This energy comes in the form of more power and strength when you're training and even improved cognition.

Pre-workout stimulants

What are Pre-workout stimulants?

A pre-workout, as the name suggests, is something that you take prior to your workout. The compounds in a pre-workout are designed to stimulate, energise and pump you up for your workout.

A Challenger who is has some Supplements, Dieting and Exercise experience or a Challenger who has a high budget for Supplements. Challengers looking for the extra 1%-ers
Level 3 consists of Level 1 supplements, Level 2 supplements plus Level 3 supplements.

BCAA

Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are the amino acids L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine. BCAAs are primarily involved in Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS). Your body cannot create BCAAs and you need to ingest them from food products. Along with growing and repairing muscle, BCAAs can act as a fuel source in hypocaloric states.

Glutamine

Glutamine is a conditionally essential amino acid and can benefit the body when deficient (e.g. plant based diets with low dairy intake) or during prolonged endurance exercise. Glutamine can promote intestinal and immune system health because these cells use glutamine as the preferred fuel source rather than glucose. Additionally, glutamine can aid muscle building in those who suffer from physical trauma or disease states. Anecdotally, glutamine is reported to reduce sugar cravings and improve overall gut health.

Hormone Support

Can support hormone production for those who may be in a deficient state due to sleep, stress and training factors.
